We welcome you to experience the many ways Catholic Daughters can enhance the spiritual growth in your home, parish and community through Unity and Charity. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) is a non-profit organization historically referred to as an Order and one of the oldest and largest organizations of Catholic women in the World.
The CDA motto is “Unity and Charity.” Catholic Daughters strive to embrace the principles of faith working through love in the promotion of justice, equality, and the advancement of human rights and human dignity for all. CDA is a sisterhood Order that enhances the life of the one providing a service as well as the recipient.
Membership is for all Catholic lay and religious women, 18 years or older, who love and support the Church and wish to participate in social and charitable activities.
To learn more about the Catholic Daughters, please review the court newsletters with the various activities done by St. Jane Frances de Chantal #2699 Local Court. The monthly newsletters may be found under DOCUMENTS (located on the right).

The Catholic Daughters began in 1903 by the Knights of Columbus. Courts are located across the nation, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guam, Africa, and the Virgin Islands. The Texas State Court was established in 1917. We welcome you to navigate through the ‘Events’, 'About Us' and ‘Projects’ tabs on the state website (texascda.org) to see how CDA becomes a living tool for the Church today. Please join us and enable us to be an avenue for your love and service to Church, Community and Country. Allow us to celebrate your gifts and talents by your participation and faith. There are over 16,000 local court members in the 245 courts throughout Texas.
For girls age 6 to 18, we offer membership in the Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas, better known as JCDA. These stars of Texas are our present and our future. We invite you to learn more about the Junior Courts by viewing the Junior Catholic Daughter tab to your right.
Regardless of your age from 6 to 106 our court invites you to a place you may call home; a place where your time, from the simplicity of private prayer to leadership of major projects, is of value and greatly appreciated. Catholic Daughters live by the saying; “When God calls you to it, He will see you through it.” Embrace that in your discernment to become a member of our Order.
We operate under the seven prong wheel called the Circle of Love; Education, Family, Legislation, Leadership & Membership, Spiritual Enhancement, Quality of Life, and Youth. Within each of these areas, the opportunity to serve is endless. It allows a woman to tap into an area of her interest, gifts, time and treasures; all according to what time she has available at any given time of her life. We are helping hands where there is a void, pain, poverty, sorrow or sickness.
Deeply spiritual, together Catholic Daughters share faith, love of God, and a distinctly feminine spirituality alluded to by Pope John Paul II when he spoke of the necessity of “feminine genius” in today’s world. Programs address the concerns of today’s church and society as well as issues that affect the well-being of the family.
CDA Campus courts are offered to young college women at various universities. CDA provides an avenue to value each member throughout her life as we love, serve, and protect the dignity of all lif
